August kicks off with Karen Bandy’s latest art in the “Gemstone” series. It’s art where the mood and the colors in her paintings and jewelry complement each other. 

There is a direct correlation of shapes, colors and textures in both mediums, the vibrancy of thought shows through in both.

The new paintings this month reflect the beauty of tourmaline. Tourmaline is a natural gem that comes in shades ranging from pastel pink to vibrant greens. 

Karen’s paintings will be featured at the Sunriver Art Faire August 14 and 15^th on the Village Mall.  

Mark the dates for First Friday August 6^th at Bandy’s studio on Minnesota Ave, and at the Sunriver Art Faire August 14^th and 15^th.

Show title, “Gemstone Series; The Passion of Tourmaline” runs from August 6^th-31^st 

Featuring new paintings in acrylic and canvas, and new jewelry featuring Tourmalines.
