20x20 Acrylic on canvas. This painting was the second in this series of birds and bold color. The series idea really jelled with this painting. It’s ready to hang, needs no frame, and ships free from my Bend, Oregon studio.

Birds have strong energy, yet they are a calming presence in our lives. Pink and orange are colors associated with energy, but are toned down by line, form, and visual formatting. The backgrounds are vibrant color-scapes to juxtapose with the birds, matching their energy and vibrancy. In this painting I used shades of blue and turquoise, and a pop of red to stabilize the birds.
